How We Rate and Check Dublin Steakhouses
Where every fact on Steakhouse Dublin comes from, and how often it is checked.
Every listing on Steakhouse Dublin is checked against the restaurant’s own website, and ratings are taken from Tripadvisor, OpenTable and Google. Hours, menus and ratings are re-checked every month, and each restaurant page shows the date it was last checked. The most recent full check was on 1 October 2026.
Which restaurants are included
A restaurant is listed if it is a dedicated steakhouse in County Dublin and is currently trading. When a steakhouse closes, its page is marked “permanently closed” and it is removed from the home page, the restaurant finder and the area lists.
Where the information comes from
| Information | Source | Rule |
|---|---|---|
| Address, phone and opening hours | The restaurant’s official website | Where a restaurant gives only “late” or approximate times, we show its wording and suggest calling ahead |
| Set menus: early bird, pre-theatre, set lunch, Sunday roast | The restaurant’s official website | If a menu is not stated on the official site, we treat it as not offered |
| Private dining, family and solo-dining suitability | The restaurant’s official website | Same rule: not stated means not listed |
| Steak cuts and signature steaks | The restaurant’s published menu | Cuts change seasonally; we list what the current menu shows |
| Ratings | Tripadvisor, OpenTable and Google | Shown with the platform and number of reviews where available |
| Ownership (Irish-owned, UK-owned) | Company websites and press coverage | Marked “not publicly confirmed” where no owner is named |
How listings are ordered
The home page shows one featured steakhouse first, followed by the other steakhouses on the list. The featured listing is an editorial pick, not a ranking, and no restaurant pays to be featured. The rest of the list is not a ranking either: use the restaurant finder to filter by occasion, area, price or menu, and compare the ratings shown on each listing. Area, menu, occasion and steak-cut pages list the restaurants that match that page.
How often we check
- Ratings, hours and seasonal menus: every month
- Set menus and features used by the restaurant finder: verified against each official website in July 2026 and re-checked monthly
- Christmas and other seasonal offers: checked when the restaurant publishes them
What we don’t do
We don’t take bookings or payments, we don’t charge restaurants to be listed, and the site carries no advertising. More about the guide is on the About page.

Let us know on the contact page. We check every report against the restaurant’s own website before changing a listing.
